General
Please do NOT make your posts so advanced that other members cannot understand them! This is not fair to some people. I will let you know if you need to tone down your roleplaying skills. You may of course use cool vocabulary, like the words on the Adv. RPing page, but please do not make it too complicated. But that doesn't mean one liners... if you post a one liner while in character, you're going to be warned. And please use grammar skills. It's not that difficult to use punctuation.
NO godmoding, powerplaying, or flooding the message boards
Swearing is allowed. Just don't go crazy.
Try to get along with other members
If you have a problem with another member, message an admin.
Stealing, challenging, forcebreeding, and forceful claiming can be done to horses of different alignments. For example, a dark mare can steal from a neutral or light mare and vise verse. A light stallion could also claim a dark or neutral mare. (This makes things more interesting)
An admin will be chosen to judge a fight. All battles will be judged fairly and without prejudice.
If a horse is seriously injured during a fight (which will be deturmined by an admin) they must spend three days in Alleviating Peak to heal.
Please, please, please, please do NOT put HUGE pictures in your signature. It's a pain to scroll through threads when there are a couple huge pictures per post. Look at Injection's signature for an example. You may post your big pictures under your horses thread on the Horses board.
Claiming Herds
Only stallions can claim territory
To claim a herd territory, roleplay a claim on an Unclaimed board in either the Light, Dark, or Neutral lands, depending upon your character's alignment. An admin will judge whether or not your claiming post was adequate enough for you to recieve the herd.
If two stallions both wish to claim a herd, an admin will either choose the leader or have the stallions fight for the land.
After claiming a herd and being accepted by an admin, post your herd's name and description on the update board.
Mares
You must join a herd.
An admin will decide whether or not you had a still birth based upon how you roleplay during gestation.
An admin will post your foal's stats after birth. The dam and sire can choose of the name, of course.
Your mare must have a gestation period of at least a week before having her foal.
You may be forcefully claimed and/or forcebred if you roam onto the Seasonal Woodland
You can only challenge other mares.
You may challenge mares for foals. If the mare being challenged does not reply in 3 days, then the foal is yours.
If you steal a foal, the mare being stolen from has 3 days to reply. If they reply, you can choose to challenge them or not. The winner of the fight gains custody of the foal.
If you're taken captive by a bachelor stallion, you must stay with them. You can roleplay an escape attempt, but unless they let you go or another stallion rescues you, you're theirs.
After foaling, an admin will post your foal's stats. You only get to name it.
Stallions
You may forcefully claim a mare in Diminutive Clearing.
You can forcebreed a mare if she enters the breeding terra and her selected stallion is not close behind her.
You may only challenge other stallions.
Challenging/Stealing goes by the same rules as with mares, except stallions may also steal/challenge for a herd.
You may choose how you rule your herd (with paired mates or with the lead stallion breeding w/all the mares during the right season)
A stallion may choose whether or not to allow other stallions into his herd.
If your mate or a mare in your herd is taken hostage by a bachelor, you may hunt down the bachelor, challenging him or killing him, and then take back your mare. Bachelors however, do not follow laws, so fighting one and coming out victorious would be very difficult. You could also steal your mare back.
Bachelors
Bachelors may wander wherever they wish.
You may wander into herdlands but the leader(s) of the herd have the right to chase you out or kill you.
You do not have to follow any laws.
You can take mares captive. The stallion the mare belongs to can kill you if he gets a hold of you and return the mare to his lands.
Fighting
Fighting will be determined by an admin based on each horses' attack, hit points, and experience levels.
Points are awarded for each post you make on the site.
Typically the horse with the most points wins, but if the weaker horse roleplays the battle very, very well, they have a chance. So don't just give up if you have less points.
If you have any questions, feel free to message an admin!
